About the Journal

About:

Pulp Mill Fiction is a student-led creative writing anthology that publishes undergraduate, graduate, and alumni poetry, fiction, and creative non-fiction.

History:

The UNBC Anthology of Creative Writing, Pulp Mill Fiction, was created to encourage, support, and promote creativity among UNBC students and alumni. Established in 2022, PMF published its first three volumes in print. Now existing in both print and online, PMF continues to provide a platform for emerging authors to express themselves through written word.

Publication Frequency:

PMF publishes one issue annually at the end of the Winter Semester in April. We review submissions from May-February for the following April publication. Submissions made after the deadline will be considered for the following year.

Open Access Policy:

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research and writing freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

PMF does not charge submission or any other form of author fees.

Copyright:

Authors retain copyright and disclose to the journal if pieces have been previously published, in order for the journal to give credit to the first publisher. All works are published under Creative Commons License CC BY 4.0.

Sponsorship:

PMF is sponsored by the UNBC Arts Council in partnership with the Geoffrey R. Weller Library.
