Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The author is or has been a student of UNBC.
  • The submission file is in PDF format.
  • If submitting more than one work, please upload each in an individual PDF file. Submission files with more than one work will be rejected.
  • Authors may submit a maximum of 4 works with a limit of 2 longer fiction/creative non-fiction pieces (up to 1500 words). E.G., 3 poems and 1 short story is submitted; 2 poems and 2 longer fiction/creative non-fiction are submitted.
  • The work has not been previously published; OR, if the work has been previously published, please disclose publisher in order for us to cite original publisher. It is up to the author to follow any previous publishing terms.

Author Guidelines

Submission Guidelines:

  • We recommend authors submit more than one work in order to provide editors with variety and enhance the chances of being published in PMF.
  • Unless otherwise stated, PMF accepts all themes and topics for any issue.
  • Because this journal supports individual creativity, submissions using any generative artificial intelligence will not be considered.
  • For inquiries please contact arts.club@unbc.ca. Email submissions will not be considered.
